F&Q
Resolve your most common questions about the coaching process.
Can sessions be taken as a couple or family?
YES! My experience shows that sessions are most effective in a supportive environment. Sometimes, individual sessions can bring up issues that aren't discussed within the family. Therefore, I encourage exploring all possibilities. Sessions with couples or families also foster positive communication and facilitate processing difficult situations, making it beneficial to consider all options.
Can minors participate in sessions?
My recommendation is that with children or adolescents, who have a different level of sensitivity, a therapeutic approach is more suitable than coaching. It's important that the professionals involved maintain constant communication to best support the young person's well-being. This ensures a coordinated and effective approach to care.
How many sessions are needed to overcome anxiety?
It's impossible to give an exact number. However, in my experience, clients often notice a significant shift in their perception of their situation after just the first session, which usually leads to positive action. The number of sessions required will vary depending on individual needs and progress.
What is the difference between a coach and a psychologist?
The main difference is that coaching focuses on the specific factor causing anxiety and discomfort, and we work with various techniques that provide support in the "here and now." Psychology delves deeper into the individual's history and experiences, using more in-depth techniques that often require a longer-term commitment. Combining both coaching and psychology can be ideal for achieving the best long-term outcomes. Coaching focuses on present solutions and actionable steps, while psychology explores the root causes and past experiences.
How do I know my privacy will be respected?
All conversations are completely discreet, confidential, and private. Information will only be shared with another person (doctor, therapist, etc.) if there is a specific request or agreement between the coach and the client. The same privacy rules that apply to therapy also apply to coaching. Your confidentiality is of utmost importance.
